The World Rallycross Championship returns to the Jules Tacheny circuit in Mettet on 17 and 18 August 2024!

For 2024, the FIA has decided́ to introduce a new format which they have called: ‘Battle of technologies’. The focus will be on the battle between internal combustion engines and electric motors in the top category : World RX.

The Jules Tacheny circuit has already hosted the WRX high mass in the past, between 2014 and 2018 and 2023. Some very fine pages of the world championship have been written on the demanding and tortuous Djobin track. Sébastien Loeb, Petter Solberg, Johan Kristoffersson, and even the late Ken Block, the most prestigious actors have paraded through Mettet. A selection of today’s top drivers will now come to compete for victory in a weekend of races that promise to be wildly exciting.

With its demanding, winding course, the Namur circuit has always offered an exceptional spectacle to its public, who are ideally situated to see all the action on track. Like its British counterparts at Lydden Hill and German counterpart at Estering, the Circuit Jules Tacheny shaped the beginnings of the intense and unique sport of rallycross. The succession of bends on gravel and asphalt offers ideal conditions for hellish sprints punctuated by contact and cascading skids.
