MARC-REINER SCHMIDT TRIUMPHS AT THE COYOTE SUPERBIKER IN METTET

22 October 2018

Some 25,000 spectators and more than 400 riders of 22 different nationalities flocked to the Circuit Jules Tacheny for Belgium’s biggest motorbike event, confirming once again a popular craze that has stood the test of time and fashion.

German Marc-Reiner Schmidt, already winner of the Coyote Superbiker in 2015, climbed to the top of the podium, followed by Thomas Chareyre, the six-time world champion and another German, Markus Class.

The first Belgian in the ranking was Kevin Vieillevoye, the 2018 Belgian Supermotard champion, who climbed to 9th place, while the young Belgian talent Barry Baltus, just 14 years old and racing in the Red Bull Rookies Cup and CEV, finished in a respectable 22nd place.
